The museum building itself is a sight to behold. Designed by Theodor Fischer, it has undergone extensive renovations to provide modern exhibition spaces. A particular highlight is the mesmerising light installation "Jupiter in the Octagon" by Rebecca Horn, which greets visitors in the entrance area.
