What to expect

Discover Skiathos from a different perspective on this cruise. You'll see the famous Blue Caves of the north coast, enjoy downtime on Lalaria and Kastro beaches, free time in Katigiorgis, as well as a stop at Tsougrias Island.

Relax on deck in the morning sun as you sail past the Blue Caves – a string of sea grottoes carved into the coastline – en route to the island's most beautiful beach, Lalaria. This sweep of white pebbles is a little slice of heaven and only accessible by boat. Follow this up with a stop at Kastro beach, where you can sunbathe in the shadow of the island's former capital, Kastro. Here, you can walk around the preserved ruins and learn what live would've been like here during its heyday in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Next up is the fishing village of Katigiorgis. Here, we'll stop for free time for you to grab a bite to eat in one of its quaint tavernas. Once you're suitably refuelled, we'll cross over to our final stop of the day, Tsougrias Island. The beaches here are comparable to those of the Caribbean – it's a real hidden treasure.

Skiathos Town Evening Tour with Local Liqueur Tasting

Are you ready to fall in love with the charm and character of Skiathos Town on this laid-back town walk? We'll kick things off by wandering along Papadiamantis Street – the heart of the town, packed with shops, cafés and everyday local life. From there, we'll stroll up to the Church of the Three Hierarches, a striking slice of island history. Vasilis, one of our expert guides, says, ‘Only a few steps from the centre of town are hidden corners, with beautiful churches and peaceful cobbled streets. Skiathos played a hugely symbolic role in Greece's fight for independence – our first flag was raised here in 1807.'Next, we'll swing by the Skiathitiko Spiti – an old home-turned-museum where you'll get a feel for how islanders lived back in the day. After a nose around, we'll sip a little local liqueur made by the owner – trust us, it's a treat. Then it's on to the maze-like Plakes quarter, with its narrow lanes and timeworn houses, bright splashes of bougainvillea and classic blue shutters. Limnia is next, where you'll have the chance to pop into either Panagia Limnia or the Holy Trinity Church – both full of stories and island spirit.We'll follow a coastal path down to the Old Port, soaking up the sea views before heading back towards the start. But not before one final stop – the House of Alexandros Papadiamantis, one of Greece's literary legends.
