Die Führung war wirklich klasse. Der Guide hatte trotz relativ jungen Alters ein enormes Hintergrundwissen und konnte alle aufkommenden Fragen beantworten. Wir kannten schon viele Ecken in Potsdam, aber durch die Tour konnten wir auch wieder neue Ecken entdecken.

The 2.5-hour city tour takes you into a mostly unknown history: large parts of the city of Potsdam were restricted areas - no Potsdam resident had access. For the Potsdam Conference in the summer of 1945, Cecilienhof Palace and the surrounding park "Neuer Garten" were closed to the public. The most powerful heads of state in the world at the time came to Potsdam. The conference was an end point of the Second World War, at the same time a starting point of the Cold War. Today, the palace and park are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next to the New Garden, for almost five decades, was Military Town No. 7 - a forbidden town. It was one of the most important intelligence sites of the Soviets during the Cold War. On the tour you will learn more about the work and life in this Forbidden City. Finally, you will go to Glienicke Bridge, which became world-famous as a spy bridge.
