Explore the world’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii and discover the majesty of Mount Vesuvius on this combined full-day excursion.

Departure from Sorrento in early morning and a transfer by bus to Pompeii. Enjoy the live commentary on board during the drive. On arrival in Pompeii, meet your guide and get ready for two hours visit to know the traditions and daily life of ancient Pompeii. The guide will pass through the Roman Forum, the Basilica, Temple of Jupiter and Apollo and thermal baths. You'll have free time for lunch on your own, before making your way up to Mount Vesuvius.

Get access inside the natural park for 1.30 hour free time and hike about 20 minutes walk to the top of the crater where you can experience breathtaking panoramic views of the whole Gulf of Naples. Return to Sorrento about 4.30/5pm.

  • The hike to the crater may be very steep. This tour is not suitable for people with mobility problems

  • Transportation may be in coaches holding more passengers, up to 40/50 passengers
  • Guides are not allowed on Vesuvius Park. You will need to visit the site on your own
