Qué te espera

Congeladas en el tiempo por la tragedia, Pompeya y Herculano son una visita obligada en la Costa Amalfitana. Estas dos ciudades romanas quedaron sepultadas bajo cenizas volcánicas tras la catastrófica erupción del Vesubio en el año 79 d.C.. Ahora descubiertas, ambas son Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO y ofrecen una visión fascinante y a veces inquietante de la vida en la época clásica.

En primer lugar, su guía le conducirá por las calles de Pompeya y le mostrará las villas ricamente decoradas de las clases altas romanas -todavía pueden verse frescos en las paredes-, así como espacios públicos como el Foro. Pasee por sus calles empedradas mientras contempla los restos de templos y villas.

Por la tarde, diríjase al yacimiento arqueológico de Herculano. Aquí conocerá esta antigua ciudad costera rescatada del olvido. Verá los cobertizos para botes donde descansan muchos refugiados, así como suelos de mármol, mosaicos y frescos.

En Pompeya y Herculano no se pueden llevar bolsas de más de 30x30x15 cm. Hay un guardarropa gratuito donde se pueden dejar las pertenencias.

Capri Island Boat Cruise from Maiori

Capri is a small island with a big reputation. On this boat trip, you'll cruise around it, with stops to take in famous natural landmarks as well as swim in the sea. There's also the option of a visit to the Blue Grotto. That's not all though – there'll be some free time in Capri town.Travelling from Maiori, you'll zoom over to Positano or Praiano port by speedboat. On arrival, you'll be welcomed aboard a traditional Sorrentine gozzo boat and sail across the Bay of Naples to Capri. Cruise past the Natural Arch, Santa Croce Bay and the fjord of Furore. There's also a photo stop at Marina di Praia. We'll then continue west, drifting by the Sirenuse Islands, locally known as Li Galli – ‘the Cocks'.Once we've reached Capri, you'll catch sight of the White Grotto, the Natural Arch, Villa Malaparte, Faraglioni Rocks, Marina Piccola and the Green Grotto for a swim. There's an optional visit into the Blue Grotto available, too. We'll then dock in Capri town for some free time for shopping. To round off the cruise, there'll be a swimming stop on the return to Maiori.
