What to expect

Loro Parque, just outside Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife, is one of the Canary Islands' top attractions. It started out as a sanctuary for parrots, and while it still has the world's largest collection of them, it's grown into a wildlife park with over 400 species. You'll see everything from gorillas, lions, and red pandas to dolphins and sea lions. There's also a huge penguin habitat, a walk-through aquarium, and jungle-style aviaries where birds fly freely overhead.

In the south of the island, in Costa Adeje, you've got Siam Park, Europe's biggest water park. Siam Park features a Siamese theme, and is home to record-breaking slides, and a wave pool famous for its three-metre waves. Opened by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand, it's now one of the Canaries' top spots for thrill-seekers and families alike.

Great value for money for two excellent days out. Some of the info was misleading in terms of needing ID to gain entry to the park, and also we were told we didn’t need a voucher for the second park but on arrival at second park they said we should have had one

The parks are amazing! However the twin ticket does not come with options for fast track or the all inclusive band for Siam park which then we had to pay extra for on arrival as we booked through the app the TUI rep couldn’t cancel our booking to get us the all inclusive tickets so we had to then pay €400 to get fast track separate

We enjoyed all the slides and the lazy river and rapids that we went on. The Thai food court was reasonably priced and was nice food.

The water park and rides were good but very busy and massive queues (midweek in June) But biggest issue was no smoking ANYWHERE in the park. So unfortunately will not return.

Hear about the island's wine-making heritage and embrace the sights, smells, tastes, textures and sounds at a family-run winery as you try four vintages, paired with food at every stop along the senses.First, at La Casa del Vino, a 17th-century estate-turned-museum, you'll be welcomed with a glass of local sparkling wine and a rosquette – a Canarian pastry. Your guide will share the story of how savvy 16th-century Spanish growers planted European vines in the fertile, volcanic soil – catapulting Tenerife onto the global wine scene. Then, it's onto Bodegas El Lomo. Then, it's out to the patio for harvest snacks with textures of toasted gofio grains and a creamy local goat cheese, served with a fruity carbonic macerated wine.
