Take a walk through history along the Freedom Trail. This winding, 4-kilometre pedestrian path in Boston, Massachusetts will lead you past 16 historically significant U.S. locations, all connected to the American Revolution.
Follow the red bricks of Boston’s Freedom Trail to discover the rich history of the American Revolution. The official trail starts at the Boston Common central public park and continues until the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown. Other sites on the Freedom Trail include the Massachusetts State House, the King's Chapel, Park Street Church, and more.
As you stroll along the Freedom Trail, you’ll notice there’s a historic plaque on the ground at each of the historical buildings and landmarks. These markers help explain the story of the American Revolution. You may want to consider taking a guided tour to delve deeper into the rich history of the area.
