Ce qui vous attend

Si vous souhaitez échapper à la ville et découvrir un peu plus l'Islande, ce voyage est idéal. Il vous fera découvrir la côte sud du pays, où des chutes d'eau tonitruantes, des volcans aux sommets enneigés et un littoral austère vous attendent.

Vous ferez deux arrêts aux plus grandes chutes d'eau de la région, Seljalandsfoss et Skogafoss, où vous aurez le temps de prendre quelques photos. L'Eyjafjallajökull fait également partie du programme.

Le volcan qui est entré en éruption en 2010 est aujourd'hui une image de sérénité, dormant tranquillement sous une immense couche de glace et de neige. Mais le point fort de la journée est Vik. Cette immense plage est recouverte de galets noirs et présente d'étranges et merveilleuses formations rocheuses en basalte.

The weather was awful with blizzards. This meant we couldn’t see the beach at Vik. Driving conditions were terrible and I’m surprised the tour went ahead. The guide was lovely. We had a large family party who followed their own time keeping which was annoying especially as some people on the bus had to return for another trip. It was still an amazing experience but I think we will have to return to see the beaches properly.

Maybe you could lengthen the day so that you can have more time in the three locations and a shorter lunch could help with this too.

Guide was very knowledgeable and even added in an extra stop off for us to see the glacier. The sights were stunning. Would of liked a little more time in each place on the stop to be able to take more of the surroundings in but understand there is a time constraint too.
