Get picked up from your hotel and then head to the centre of Bali, Ubud, and the surrounding areas.
The first stop is the village of Batuan, where you'll visit a Balinese complex that showcases the application of Asta Kosala Kosali, an ancient Balinese architectural method. Next, go to Monkey Forest, which serves as both a sanctuary for Balinese culture and is home to a significant population of long-tailed macaques in Bali. There are two temples within the forest: a Beji temple dedicated to the goddess Ganga, symbol of purification, and a Dalem temple dedicated to Shiva.
Afterwards, discover Ubud’s Royal Palace, which was built in the 16th century and is currently the residence of the city’s monarch and royal family. Continue further north to Tegalalang to visit and stroll along the gorgeous rice terraces. The Balinese crispy duck will be served at a local restaurant located inside a coffee plantation with a valley view, not far from the rice terrace.
After lunch, explore Tirta Empul, famous for its holy water, where Balinese worshipers have been drawn to for more than a thousand years. A natural spring-fed swimming pool with traditional Balinese designs can be found there. This complex, which dates to the 11th century, is one of the historic sites.
On the journey back, continue south for the last stop at Tegenungan waterfall.
