Terra Natura and-or Aqua Natura Parks with Transport

An animal lover's paradise awaits at this amazing Benidorm zoo. Its themed areas extend across gardens and countryside as it splits into four specialist areas with a Noah's Ark worth of animals. There's Pangea, where you'll find a whole host of poisonous creatures. And America, which is home to panthers, flamingos, macaws and a tropical forest of plants where you'll find the Maya ruins. Over in Asia, the jewels of the zoo live including a herd of elephants, tigers, rhinos and more. Plus it's all designed around a ‘zoo-immersion' concept, which means you can get inches from the creatures with just glass safety barriers between you. Don't miss the bird shows, either – where free-flying parrots, falcons and hawks swoop through the skies. What's more, this option includes transport to the park.

Calaveras Cave & Calpe Tour

Calaveras Cave & Calpe Tour

Step into the shadows of history at Calaveras Cave, tucked away in Marina Alta. This isn't just any cave; it's a journey back in time, sparked by the discovery of twelve human skulls from the 17th century inside. On this morning tour, you'll see the cave in all its glory, before heading to the coastal town of Calpe for some free time. You'll head to Calaveras Cave first. Look up at the towering formations of stalactites and stalagmites, as you wander through nature's own art gallery. Despite the cave's eerie calm, life thrives in the dim light – rare ferns and a secretive colony of bats call the cave home. It's like being in a live documentary, but you're the explorer, navigating through history with each step. Your next stop is Calpe, a seaside retreat along the Costa Blanca. Here, life's vibrant – golden, sandy beaches invite you to lounge and forget time, the old town's alleys offer stories etched in stone, and the local eats are a treat for the palate.

Benifato Fira de Sant Miguel & Guadalest Tour

La Fira de Sant Miquel – or St Michael's Fair – is an annual celebration in many parts of Spain, and on this tour, you'll head to the rural town of Benifato to see how they mark the event. There'll be stalls, workshops, music and more. On top of that, you'll also visit the village of Guadalest.Nestled in the mountains, Benifato is a quintessential Valencian village, with no more than a few hundred inhabitants. But for one weekend a year, the town comes alive with markets, workshops and performances. Browse stalls selling everything from handcrafted souvenirs to local artisan products, topped off with mouthwatering street food and exhibitions – there's even demonstrations for the kids to get involved. After your fix of Spanish festivities, it's onto Guadalest - the jewel in the crown of the Costa Blanca. Its interior clings to a rocky outcrop amid some of the most romantic scenery imaginable. Wander the village's dozen or so streets, which are home to eight museums, and pass through tunnels carved into the rock. As you weave up the cobbled lanes towards the top of the ridge, the views over the valley just get better and better.
